About Eve
I know how frustrating struggling with disorganization can feel. Professionally, I’m a credentialed Specialist in Chronic Disorganization and owner of Organized Tranquility. I’ve seen (and tackled!) the whole spectrum of disorganization. I approach clutter issues with humor, compassion, and the firm belief that we control the stuff (not the other way around).
I come at organizing from a unique perspective.
First, I have PhD in political philosophy and am deeply interested in the psychology behind disorganization:
- Why do we do what we do when we want what we want?
- What is the meaning behind the stuff? What purpose is it serving?
- How is the way we manage our time and things related to how we think and learn?
Second, I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I know from my own experience how challenging (okay, down right maddening) it can be to balance multiple commitments, to not over-promise and under-deliver, and to stay on top of all the stuff that passes through our door every day. So I truly walk the talk (or at least try to!). My interest in understanding my own challenges, as well as similar issues my clients struggle with, has prompted me to become a specialist in chronic disorganization, ADD/ADHD, and hoarding.
I’m also the very proud mom of a handsome, lovable toddler who keeps me on the go, the lucky wife of my wonderful husband (AKA “my hubby”), and an enthusiastic home cook. I love professional football (Go Eagles!), painting acrylic on canvas, and late-night marathons of Young & the Restless. Oh, and I plan to be on Oprah but it hasn’t made it to the top of my To Do list yet…
